My name is David and I’m from the UK. My work is focused on designing, simulating and building instrumentation for particle accelerators, but I’m also researching the interactions of particle beams with their surroundings as a PhD topic. I’m enthusiastic about physics, mathematics and open source computing tools, which will be the primary focus of this blog. On the less academic side, I also enjoy exploring on my bike, cooking and eating new food and reading. My favourite beer is Boondoggle.
